Project Overview

This lofted lakehouse in the Sandy Beach area of Plymouth, MA was a tear-down and complete rebuild by Absolute Building Consultants, designed to maximize space and light on a compact waterfront lot. Featuring two bedrooms and a finished basement, the home offers an elevated take on lakefront living — proof that even smaller parcels can deliver incredible comfort, style, and functionality when approached with creativity and technical precision.

Design & Build Approach

The project began with the challenge of navigating local conservation regulations due to the property’s proximity to the water. Thanks to close collaboration between our engineers and architects, and extensive front-end coordination, we were able to guide the homeowners smoothly through the approval process.

With a limited lot size, the home was designed to build upward rather than outward. This vertical approach allowed for a spacious open living area, a lofted layout, and lower-level finished space — all while staying within local setback and conservation guidelines. The septic system was installed across the street, and a pump system was added to make the setup efficient and compliant.
